The most recent addition to DHI’s family of
pressure controller and monitors is the PPCH for precisely
generating and controlling liquid pressure from less than 1 MPa
(150 psi) to 200 MPa (30 000 psi).
PPCH includes a built-in, self-cycling hydropneumatic pump to
supply pressure. Pressure is controlled using new generation
servo valves and a thermal pressure controller. This combination
provides unlimited, on-demand pressure and can control into a wide
variety of test volumes with final stability of the set pressure
better than 0.01% of reading.
Reference pressure measurement for the controller is provided by
DHI’s Digiquartz® based Quartz Reference Pressure Transducer
modules (Q-RPT™). The open architecture feature of DHI’s
controllers allows these to be mounted internal to the pressure
controller or remotely in a compact RPM4 reference pressure
monitor. With remote reference pressure measurement, pressure can
be measured closer to the pressure test point and the complete
controller does not need to be disconnected and shipped for
recalibration.
