The Digiquartz®
MET3 MEASUREMENT SYSTEM provides the ultimate in precision
meteorological measurements. Barometric pressure resolution is
better than 1 microbar with total accuracy of
±0.08 hPa.
Temperature resolution is 0.01°C with total accuracy of 0.5°C
and relative humidity performance is better than 2%. Desirable
characteristics include durable weatherproof packaging, no warm-up
time, high reliability and long-term stability. The measurement
suite may be interfaced with computer systems, GPS receivers, and
data loggers.
Data is provided by a
Digiquartz® barometric pressure transducer, an
external precision thin film platinum 1000 ohm RTD temperature
sensor, and a monolithic IC capacitance humidity sensor. The
barometric pressure sensor and humidity sensor are fully
temperature compensated.
The MET3 system
utilizes a Gill Barometric Pressure Port to reduce dynamic
pressure errors caused by wind. The Multi-Plate Radiation Shield
protects the temperature / humidity sensor from error-producing
solar radiation and precipitation.
A
microprocessor-based electronics provides fully compensated and
linearized outputs via a two-way RS-232 interface. The user may
retrieve individual data parameters or a complete data word
containing all measurement parameters. The serial bus also allows
complete remote configuration and control of all operating
parameters including resolution, sample rate, choice of
engineering units, integration time, and sampling commands. PC
based software for configuration and control is supplied.
The combination of
full temperature compensation, contamination resistant sensors and
NEMA 4X packaging allows the systems to be mounted indoors or
outside. Mounting hardware is included and interface cabling is
available for easy system installation.
All Digiquartz®
products come with a limited five year warranty with the first two
years covered at 100%. Also included is a 3 year warranty on
barometer stability of better than 0.1 hPa per year and one free
zero- adjustment calibration service.
